Reach Up

Learning to know God is a life long journey.  God has revealed himself in creation, in the Bible and through the Holy Spirit. But an important factor to consider is that getting to know God righty demands that we partner with him in the ways he has made himself known. For example, taking time to appreciate and learn about his creation helps know God or reading, studying and mediating on the Bible helps to get in sync with how God has designed us to live. Also for the person who knows Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit connects us with "reaching up" to God in wonderful ways.

Every person has this God-given place in their being - a place that only God can fill. We are searching to know and understand by "reaching up" to God. Each of us with our different life experiences is at work removing our wrong beliefs about God and replacing them with correct ones. Here at LBF it is our desire to do all we can to help people in that journey of "reaching up" to God.

At LBF we are striving to become a vibrant community of life-long learning...a community that regularly sees the transforming power of Jesus at work in the lives of children, youth, and adults. Through seminars, classes, small groups, resources, retreats, events, and individual spiritual direction, we aim to develop leaders who are growing deeper in Christ and further in mission. Christian formation is the responsibility of the whole church. It is our continuing journey of being transformed by the Holy Spirit into the likeness of Christ, experiencing and expressing love for God and others.
