What to Expect

You might be wondering what to expect when you come to one of the weekend services at LBF. Here are some answers to make your first time here as enjoyable as possible:

What should I wear?
We are a pretty casual church. We feel like worship is more about our heart than what we wear. So wear whatever’s comfortable and you’ll fit right in.

How do I get there?
Check out our "how to get here" page

Where do I go once I’m at the church?
Look for the vertical yellow “Welcome” sign on the patio. This is the welcome table where you can ask questions and find where you want to go. You’ll also receive a welcome booklet that tells you more about the church and includes a gift card for the coffeehouse.

You can also look for someone with a bright green lanyard nametag and they will be ready to help. If you prefer to be anonymous, just try to look like you know where you’re going and follow the signs.

Check out our campus map.

Where do my kids go?
There are children’s programs for babies-6th grade during all the services (on Saturday night a family room is provided for parents & babies to watch the service together).
Also, please feel free to bring your kids into the service to worship together as a family.

Jr. High and High School meet during the 9:30 service on Sunday morning.

All of our children’s volunteers have been fingerprinted, screened, and trained to help your kids learn about God in a safe and fun atmosphere.

What happens during the service?
The first part of the service is usually worship through up-to-date music and singing. We have the words up on screens if you would like to participate (don’t worry, most of us can’t sing either!), or you can just listen. The second part of the service is worship through hearing a practical message based on the Bible. We also celebrate communion on the 3rd Sunday of each month.

Should I put money in the offering?
We don’t usually pass an offering basket during the service. We don’t want people to give out of guilt or obligation. We have offering boxes in the back of the church by the exits for anyone who would like to give as part of their worship.

What do I do when the service is over?
Stop by the welcome table if you didn’t have time before the service. You’ll get a welcome packet and a gift card for the coffeehouse. Then go enjoy free drinks and snacks with your family and hopefully make some new friends. Most people like to hang out on the patio after the service to talk, catch up, and meet people.
