Opportunities
are provided throughout the year for women to come together for
fellowship that will broaden their relationships with one another.
Along with the purpose of building relationships and just having fun,
some events will be times of learning. Some examples are a spring garden party, Bunco Night, Saturday
morning hikes, Women’s Golf Day and Lunch, and a Tennis Day and Lunch.

Spring Women’s RetreatFriday-Sunday in late Spring
A weekend to get away and hear a special speaker challenge us in God's word with application. There is time to spend alone and with others in an atmosphere that encourages spiritual growth, friendship, and fun. Friends and family members are invited to join as well.

Women’s Quiet RetreatFriday, October 24-Sunday, October 26, 2008
In homes along the shoreline of beautiful Lake Arrowhead, this is a weekend that provides an abundance of time alone to study, pray, and enjoy the presence of the Lord. The purpose is for you to have time alone with our magnificent God. If you desire help walking through this process, it will be provided for you. There is also time to have fellowship with the other women who attend this special weekend.

Bible Studies
"Attending one of the women’s Bible study groups has met a big need in my life. Before, I was feeling alone in my circumstances and needed supportive looks of concern, understanding, and prayers of women who could be there for me. After participating in the Bible study through the week, and as we talked in our small group through the study, I found I was growing in my understanding of Christ and His role in my life. This has made a big change in my attitude as I continue to walk through each day."
Our weekly Bible studies are designed to help women grow in their knowledge and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Our discussion is centered around a selected Bible study book. Along with the study, we gain prayer and emotional support. This is a safe place to get to know one another heart to heart. Calendar

Life-stage Groups
Life-stage refers to periods of life when we as women will experience emotional, psychological, spiritual, and physical changes according to our age and life circumstances. All of these affect our outlook on life. As we progress through life this means that changes happen. We recognize that life for us is one of constant change with the potential for continuous growth. Most of us think of life-stages as the stages we see our children go through, but we also experience life-stages as adults. We invite you to come to the Life-Stage ministry that is appropriate for your current stage in life.
Mom-to-Mom
2nd & 4th Tuesdays; September-May, 9-11:30 a.m. in the Worship Center Kid-to-Kid program for your nursery-preschool age children Mom-to-Mom is designed for mothers or preschool-age children. This is a time for mothers to have fellowship with other moms, do a fun and easy craft, listen to a speaker and just relax as their children are having their own supervised classes and meeting new friends. JEWELS
4th Monday of each month, 7-9 p.m. in Mont Vista 3 & 4. These women have children in elementary and junior high school. As they meet in the comfort of Eileen’s home they share about what is happening in their lives and then pray. Their time of fellowship is encouraging as they hear how other women are experiencing many of the same things they are. WOW (Women of Worth)
Meets the 3rd Thursday of each month, 7-9 p.m. in the home of one of the women This life-stage group is for women with children in high school and college, or women with children moving away from home. The age of most of the women is 40-52. As they meet in the comfort of one of their homes they can be encouraged through their circumstances as others listen with understanding. LAMBS
4th Thursday of each month, 6-9 p.m. in the home of one of the women This group enjoys dinner together as they talk about what is happening with their families. The age of most of the women is 53-68. They have children launched into the working world, married children, and most have grandchildren. Same of the women are looking at retirement either for themselves or for their husbands. They experience laughter and tears as they talk and then pray for themselves and those they love. For information, please call Debbie Barlett @ 946-2971. This group is on summer break.
God's Prime Timers
4th Monday of the month for lunch. 11:45 a.m. in various restaurants. This group enjoys lunch together as they laugh and talk about their circumstances in life. Most of the women are 70 and older. Many things happen during this life-stage and having the support from others who understand is extremely encouraging. For information, please call Joyce Dunn @ 982-8800 or Ila Nevins @ 982-0994. This group is on summer break.
Prayer & Service
Lord’s Ladies
This group of ladies provides meals to LBF families in need as a result of illness, surgery, or a baby’s birth.

Widows Support Group
Meets 1st & 3rd Monday of each month for lunch. The loss of a husband brings significant pain and grief to his wife. If you have experienced this unique loss in your life, this very special group is for you. Every woman in this group understands the depth of feelings and the need for a listening ear and prayer. This is a welcoming group. If you are newly widowed, feel free to call Joyce. She is willing to meet with you alone if needed.
