Our teaching at LBF centers on speaking to the heart while informing the mind. We strive to develop our teachings as culturally relevant, full of real-life stories – which make the meanings of scriptures easier to understand and remember, applicable to our daily lives, and sometimes down right funny.
We believe Biblical teaching is the catalyst for transformation in the lives of individuals and in the church as a whole. At LBF, we value an expositional style of Biblical teaching. By this, we strive to draw out the meaning and truths found in the Bible
We view the Bible as God’s communication to humanity. According to the Psalms, the Word of God has been given to restore our souls and impart wisdom. It also enlightens our eyes, reveals God’s righteousness. God’s Word endures forever.
Scripture was revealed not merely to inform us but also to transform us. And as we value teaching, preaching, and the study of the Bible, we are transformed into the character of Jesus Christ (Galatians 4:19). Teaching is the process of translating God’s unchanging truths into concepts, terms, and practices that are understandable and appropriate to our cultural setting today.

What kind of deal will you make?
We spend most of our lives in the pursuit of money. We look for that once in a life time deal that will take away all our worries or we work and plan in the pursuit of getting money. Yet while we accumulate more and more stuff and the worries that come with it, we never feel like we have enough. What does God say about all of this? What is his standard when it comes to our money? How much is enough? What kind of attitude should we have when it comes to our money? Should we feel guilty if we have money? What if what we are chasing is already in our hands? In this four part series we will find God’s instructions when it comes to our money.
