FREE Family Concert!

God Rocks!Friday, May 23 @ 7 p.m.
in the Worship Center

Using high quality animation, original music, books, and other creative resources, God Rocks! was designed to teach kids important lessons from the Bible in a fun way. The God Rocks! cartoon characters and universe is based on Luke 19:40: “If the people fall silent, the stones will cry out.” Fun rock characters, including main character Chip Livingstone, live in the imaginary town of Rocky Ridge, where they live to sing and praise God – just in case the people fall silent!

Vacation Bible School

Each year during the second week of July, Sunday-Friday, 6-8:30 p.m., we have Vacation Bible School. We meet during the cool of the evening. Each evening, kids (preschool-6th grade) enjoy crafts, great music, games, snacks, and Bible exploration. Activities are fun and the kids learn one basic point each evening, which is reinforced in each activity center. Sunday through Thursday are nights where the kids enjoy activities. Friday evening is set apart as a Closing Celebration that includes the whole family. Each year the theme is different and gives us a fun way to decorate and make the event special to everyone who attends.

Power Lab: Discovering Jesus' Miraculous Power is the theme for this year's VBS, which runs Sunday, July 13-Thursday, July 17 from 6-8:30 p.m., with our Family Closing Celebration on Friday, July 18 from 6-approximately 7:30 p.m. Preregister your child here.

KFC (Kids for Christ)

Meets on Tuesdays, 6:45-8:15 pm, during the school year in Rooms 102 and 103 of the Worship Center.

This is a club for kids (kindergarten-6th grades) where friendships can be developed and the Bible is taught in a fun, interesting way using drama, crafts, music, snacks, games and a few surprises along the way. Bible truths are taught in a way that kids can apply what they learn to their everyday lives.

P.A.T.H. Puppet Team

Serve with the P.A.T.H. Puppet Team.

Meets Thursdays 4:30-6:30 p.m. during the school year in rooms 104 and 105 in the Worship Center.

Puppets are one of the top five teaching tools for kids in the world. For our puppet team, 5th grade children through adults are welcome to join. Our name is an acronym: P = Puppets, A = Announcing, T = Truth, and H = Hope. We use puppets to spread the Good News of what Jesus has done for us. We use prerecorded skits and music, as well as develop puppetry skills and techniques to bring a simple puppet alive. We perform for our church and outside the church walls in the community.

Harvest Party

Harvest Party dog On October 31 each year, 5-8 pm, we have a party for the kids of our church and our community. We provide a free, safe place for families to bring their kids. For three hours, kids can go from room to room and play fun games, like "Ping the Head of the Philistine (Goliath)" with a bean bag, or have their faces painted. Small prizes are available for some games while candy is the prize for a majority of games. Games are also set up outside on the church grounds, such as blow-up bouncers, slides, and a climbing wall. There’s usually music, and food is also available for a nominal charge. It’s a really fun evening with lots of kids – young and old alike! Last year we estimate that 1,800 people attended this event! His Kids Special Events

Throughout the year, special events for kids are announced and planned. Children love parties and getting together with their friends. These events are designed to serve that purpose as well as give another opportunity for helping them understand our amazing God. Activities that are generally planned are similar to the following: Birthday Party for Jesus, Drive-In Movie Night (where kids bring a box decorated as a car to sit in and watch a movie), Kids Rally, Jesus for Children Day, Father/Daughter Dinner Dance (hosted by Men’s Ministries), etc. View photos from Drive-in Movie Night 2007 here.
