P.A.T.H. Puppet Team
Begins with an info meeting on September 30!Meets on Mondays, from 4-6 p.m. in rooms 104 & 105.
We use puppets to spread the Good News of what Jesus has done for us, performing for our church and the community. Our name is an acronym: P=Puppets, A=Announcing, T=Truth, and H=Hope. Fifth grade children through adults are welcome to join our puppet team, where we develop puppetry skills and techniques to bring a simple
puppet alive. We plan to perform more in the community this year.
CIA (Christians in Action)
No, it’s not the government agency! It’s a group of kids who love God
and want to serve Him using their amazing God-given talents, whether
musical, drama, or serving. The acronym stands for Christians In Action.Sundays @ 12:30 p.m. in rooms 102 & 103. We'll meet and rehearse for approximately 10 weeks, beginning with an information meeting on Sunday, September 19.
Christmas is coming! To prepare, we are calling kids in 1st grade and up who would like to sing on stage with the adult Christmas choir and by ourselves. Performance dates to be determined, but attend this information meeting where you will get your music to start practicing. We will meet for approximately 10 weeks and there is no charge to be a part of CIA.
We are very blessed to have five productions under our belt: "J-Force to the Rescue - A Kids’ Musical Discovering the Ultimate Truth," by Pam Andrews (2005); "SonRise - an Easter Praise and Worship Service for Children of All Ages," by Pam Andrews (2007); "Christmas Starr! A Children’s Musical." by Annette Oden (2007); "The Easter Tree," adapted from the musical written by Pam Andrews and Pam Walker (2009); "The First Action Heroes" (2009); "The Christmas County Spelling Bee: How Do You Spell Love?" created by Celeste Clydesdale and arranged by David T. Clydesdale (2009)
Harvest Party
On October 31 each year, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., we have a party for the kids of our church and our community. We provide a free, safe place for families to bring their kids. For three hours, kids can go from room to room and play fun games like, "Gone Fishing," "Heavenly Ring Toss," or have their faces painted. Small prizes are available for some games while candy is the prize for a majority of games. Kidz Zone for kids ages 2-6th grade are games and blow-up toys set up outside; while the Xtreme Zone is set up for junior high through adult. Games includes bouncers, slides, and other fun blow-up activities. There's music going and food is also available for a nominal charge. It's really a fun evening for kids – young and old! Last year we estimate that approximately 1,400 people attended this event!
Vacation Bible School
VBS (Vacation Bible School) is a week-long adventure filled with incredible Bible learning experiences that kids get to see, hear, touch, and even taste! We enjoy team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats, which will help their faith grow! VBS usually takes place in the middle of July, from 6-8:30 p.m.
